Dustin Pike's Challenge - Party in Colors

The Challenge over at Dusitn place is to use 2 of the colors in the header of his blog including the paint drips.  So I chose black from inside the moneys mouth and white from the eyes of the frog.

This is my first black and white card and it took forever to finish.  Just could not get the look I was after.  That is why the challenges are so great.  They make you step outside your comfort zone and try something new.  Thanks Dustin.

Its a party - Dustin Pike's challenge

Another fun challenge from Dustin Pike.  I love these images.  This is my first ever Spinner Card.  I have used Dustin Pike’s melon, Aprilart and happy birthday images.  The background paper is from recollections "bright and basic" and some white cardstock.  Two punches on this card first I used Martha Stewart's punch for the frill and a diamond punch from Punch Bunch for the spinner slot.  I punched the diamond at both ends and with an Exacto knife I cut the trench to house the spinner.  Of course there is some glitter and two shiny pennies helping the spinner spin and lots of dimensional tape.

Happily Ever Challenged #16 - Sweet Sixteen!

I have entered Ted's challenge over at Happily Ever Crafter.  You have to love Dustin's little party  box with Dudley the dragon on it.  I used the purple and green and the four of something I used 4 mirrored sequins, plus some glitter here and there.  You will just have to dream of what secrets lie within.  Thanks for the challenge Ted!  Visit  him over at happilyevercrafter.blogspot.com

A Princess In Pink

A special birthday card for a special girl.   She loves pink!!!

Used Dustin Pike's Rapunzel with lots of pink and glitter.  I used both markers and pencils to color the image.  The edge punch is one of Martha Stewart's and the fancy label is by McGill.  Had a great time thinking about the birthday girl while I was making this card.  Hope she likes it!

"Don't sweat the petty things and never pet the sweaty things"

I made this card for wonderful friend who is going to be running in her first 5k this weekend.  She is the kind of friend you hope to be.  What an inspiration for the rest of us and such a blessing to all those around her.
I used Dustin Pike’s wonderfully funny Monkey.  The background paper is from “The Animal Crackers Stack”.   And ribbon from a contest I won from “World Card Making Day” by Bazzill Basics.
     Hope you like it.
