Cuddly Buddly has a “Check It Out” challenge, you can find them here: http://blog.cuddlybuddly.com/category/challenges/ that challenge asks that you include checks, plaids or ginghams in your project. This card gave me fits. I fully intended to have a normal card. Okay, normal to me is a 5 x 7 card that opens from the right side. Well as you will see it did not turn out that way. I tried this new kind of bow (new for me) at the top of the card. You take a strip of card stock smaller than your ribbon and put down red line tape then you scrunch the ribbon and the tape really holds well. I think it came out wonderful and I was so excited. I put down ribbon in the middle and that is when I think it all went wrong. I turned my card. I try never to do this since I know you can turn it and all of a sudden your card opens the wrong way and it did. So after putting down my image I went to admire my handy work and open the card. Well it opened, but on the other side. So I sat there and said "Lemons to Lemonade". I thought and thought and came up with an easel card so I could save my work. You would never know it was a lemon by the looks of it now. Should have thought easel card in the beginning and did away with the drama.
I used:
Cuddly Buddly – Cosy Frame2, Cosy Panel, and Snowman
White card stock
Background paper was a piece of scrap from my bin
Fibra markers
Dimensional tape
Double sided tape
Red line tape
Decorative Ribbon by Dolgen Corp
