“The Great Pumpkin” Candy Box

New release time a Dude Time Doodles!!!  I was honored to be asked to make something with this New Digi from “Dude Time Doodles”.  I jumped at the chance and had so much fun with it.  I wanted to make something that showed the pumpkin rising from the patch and this is what I came up with.   When you pull off the lid the pumpkin head raises.  I love paper crafts and wanted to make a 3D pumpkin so I used 8 scallop circles to make the box topper.  Filling this with candy corn is so dangerous with my husband around!  I recycled by using the security pattern from the inside of junk mail envelopes for the center of my flowers and used brown ink to highlight/distress, as well as around the image, flower petals and pumpkin.  Go check out the new digi’s at: http://dudetimedoodles.blogspot.com/2012/10/octobers-special-wednesday.html  so what are you waiting for? 

Top Tip: save your junk mail with pretty patterns.  You can change the colors with ink or pencils.  I have a box next to my desk.  I don’t always remember to use them but it is nice when I can.
